The first ROSS valve was introduced more than 70 years ago. Although it was designed and built to meet the specific needs of one customer, it soon became popular with many other customers in a wide range of industries. That very successful experience with their first product taught them an important lesson: When you satisfy real customer needs, you're doing more than just building valves, you're building relationships. Since that time, ROSS has developed hundreds of new products, all designed to better meet the needs of their customers.

Many of those products have been the forerunners of entirely new classes of valves.
Base-mounted valves, solenoid-piloted valves, selfmonitoring double-valves, and the L-O-X® LockOut and eXhaust valves are just a few examples of innovative new products designed by ROSS in response to specific customer requests. As ROSS meets the challenges of the new century, they are using computers to integrate engineering design
with CNC manufacturing equipment to compress the product development cycle.
Today, ROSS engineers develop new products based on a wealth of company expertise about pneumatic systems, gained through more than 70 years of valve design and manufacturing. This process has lead them to the next generation of air control systems. their newest units are, literally, "customer designed" controls. They are made possible by using a unique combination of modern technologies, proven valve components, and customer participation in a program called the ROSS/FLEX® service.

The ROSS/FLEX® process is a completely new manufacturing culture. Its goal is to help you reduce costs while increasing the practical value of your air controls and pneumatic systems. It puts the power back where it belongs: In the hands of the customer!

ROSS/FLEX® is not a product line, it can draw on many of our specific solutions including the following components

REGULATORS
To reduce plant-supplied pressure to that required for the specific application.
Saves on compressed air expense and reduces component wear.

L-O-X®
(LockOut & eXhaust) and L-O-X®/EEZ-ON® valves Shuts off inlet supply air and exhausts downstream pressure. Can be locked in closed position. Promotes worker safety.
L-O-X®/EEZ-ON® combines function of L-O-X® and EEZ-ON® into one component.

LUBRICATORS
To add oil to the airstream. This lubricates and extends the life of downstream components.

FILTERS
To remove air line moisture and dirt; standard 5 micron or coalescent .3 micron element. Cleaner air reduces friction and component wear.

EEZ-ON® Valves
For better control at start-up. This valve controls flow rate until downstream pressure builds up; preventing sudden or uncontrolled movements during the start-up process.
